ALBSTAR requested TP&D to design a resort, within a 7ha property polygon, comprising of a luxury hotel and thematic seaview apartments and villas in the bay of Manastir in Saranda Municipality. The property is situated in a unique location in-between the lagoon of Butrint and the Ionian Sea.
The topography is highly inclined reaching up to 75m above sea level. A steep canyon in-between the two hills leads to a sandy beach.
The design for the hotel was based on Coastal Castle concept with a moon-shaped infinity-view swimming pool. Whereas the residential quarters were concepted as terraced apartment complexes above the hotel and signature luxury villas with private swimming pools on top of the hillside. All the concept ideas were gathered and produced a schematic masterplan with alternative concept options for the appartments and villas.
