In the context of the assignment for the “Requalification of the Coastline Vlore-Radhime-Orikum Lot 2”, TP&D developed a proposal for a public garden, in a space located in the south part of Government Residence Vlorë.
From the analysis of the area that was performed during site visits and survey, was concluded that it was necessary to provide an access point with the sea, from the coastal road. The space for this project was proposed in the public zone in between Government Residence Vlorë and Miramare Hotel.
The project consisted in three leveled terraces with an astonishing view from the sea “belvedere”. The terraces were composed with playground, water jets, sitting benches, a public rest area surrounded by vegetated slopes, viewing platform with wooden deck. Also, very important part of this proposal was the proposed public stairs that could reach a small rocky public beach with swimming platforms near the sea level. It was intended to be used as a garden by the people of the area since there was no seaside accessibility for the zone in 0.5km on both sides. It was an integrated proposal with Lot 2 project, that was not accepted in the final implemented project, due to public meetings.
