The Project undertaken in 2012 by TP&D involved supporting of the Municipality of Durres through the process of adoption and approval of the General Local Plan of the city in conformity with the requirements of the national applicable legislation on Territorial Planning.
The main project task involved adjusting the pre-existing studies of the LAMP Project (GIS database and reports) according to the technical specifications of the territorial planning legislation regarding application of regulations and format/structure of planning instruments. Additional project activities involved supporting and capacity building of Urban Planning department, organizing the public display and comments, staging of meetings with local stakeholders and municipal council as well as coordination between national and local level.
The project was adopted by the Municipal Council of Durress and served as base for the preparation of the General Local Plan of the enlarged Durress Municipality in 2016.
